Trauma and Orthopaedics Group

The South West Surgery in Children Operational Delivery Network Trauma and Orthopaedics Clinical Working Group was established to support service improvements for children who require an orthopaedic or trauma-related surgical procedure across our region. The group reviews national standards and recommendations for trauma and orthopaedic surgical procedures, and helps to make sure the hospitals across our region are able to deliver these national standards and that the services provided across the South West are high quality, patient-focused, and continue to improve to meet the needs of our patients.

Clinicians and managers from hospitals across the South West come together to discuss patient pathways and to agree priority areas that they can work collaboratively on to improve the experience for children and their families.
